Innovative accessory for correcting warped vinyl records DF-01i.
Music fans around the world love the warm and natural sound of analog vinyl records. Unfortunately, with long term storage of vinyl records comes shape distortion that make your old records sound far from what they should. And even if a slightly warped record might still be playable, the added pressure from the needle will damage the groove adding noise and unnecessary wear that eventually could ruin the disc. The innovative audio accessory DF-01i allows you to correct the warps and avoid shape distortion and wear.
Vinyl, and polyvinyl chloride as a raw material, can usually be changed back to its original composition properties by adding heat and in doing so also making it more tolerant to heat. DF-01i is a new development using the Self Temperature Control Semiconductor film heater, or STCS, to keep the optimum temperature inside the disc flattener for the best results. Combined with the newly designed Super Compliance Variable Hinge (SCVH), which allows for a uniform pressure to be applied, warped records can now be restored back to their original flat shape.
How the DF-01i Works
Analog discs are made from polyvinyl chloride, commonly known as vinyl. Because of sensitivity to heat, the storage method you use for your analog vinyl records is important to avoid warps and other damage. Aging can also cause warping of vinyl records, and extra care should always be taken. By gently heating the record evenly and with a uniform pressure the vinyl can be returned to its original flat state without degrading the audio quality. Please note that SP records , heavy weight records, and flexi discs (also known as phonosheet or sooundsheet records) are not supported.
The Structure of The DF-01i
The DF-01i has semiconductor film applied in the top and bottom heaters of the unit allowing for a uniform heating process combined with an even pressure.
Semiconductor Heating Film
The semiconductor heating film is just 0.2mm (0.0078 inch) thin. The temperature is automatically controlled within ±2°C (±3.60°F). Initial power consumption is around 300W, decreasing to around 70W as the temperature rises.ords , heavy weight records, and flexi discs (also known as phonosheet or sooundsheet records) are not supported.
