New for 2015, Purity has enhanced their most advanced power supply for the Statement Series. A new, machined aluminum chassis has also been developed that allows for new add-ons soon to be released.
The Statement Series dual mono balanced linestage is a result of years of intensive research directed at attaining the most accurate reproduction of recorded music. Unique topology and application of the most advanced technological resources and processes bring the Purity Statement to a threshold of excellence in sound reproduction.
The Purity Statement utilizes all the advanced features one would come to expect from a world class product. The latest Series brings to the table a new enhanced circuit allowing the use of either 6SN7 or 12AU7 tube types depending on the sound you are looking for. Bybee Purifiers in the input signal path and full Silver Plated Copper/Teflon wiring throughout. Starting in 2015 Bybee Music Rails are also found in each of the two mono power supplies for the ultimate in residual noise filtering. Teflon tube sockets and a silver plated wired power supply, including filament circuitry, an umbilical connection cord are also found in the enhancements.
A distinctive feature of the Statement Series power supply setting it apart from it’s competition is it’s multiple large capacitance storage banks. Each of the two channels contains several large value polypropylene capacitors allowing the power supply to provide the fastest and tightest dynamics available from a vacuum tube linestage. In addition to the large power rails, also featured in the new version power supply is the use of dual choke filtering per channel.
The Statement has a unique employment of output gain selection. rather than installed sonic purity robbing resistors in the signal path, Purity Audio Design has come up with a unique way of obtaining six output gain levels using specially design autoformers as not to impart of the sonic integrity of the circuit or degrading impedance interactions.
A distinctive feature of the Purity Statement setting it apart from it’s competition are its full dual mono power supplies found in a separate chamber located in an outboard chassis also meant to act as a base for the analog chassis. The power supply is dual choke filtered and uses high current Toroidal transformers and 100% polypropylene filter capacitor banks. Utilizing the power supply externally not only keeps the weight and size of the Statement manageable (each power supply weighs >35lbs), it keeps the transformers and their electric fields away from the sensitive audio circuitry. It also allows room for the elaborate and sophisticated power supply not found in other tube preamplifiers.
To add to it’s main features, the Purity Statement utilizes transformer coupling at both the input and output with full silver transformers available upon request. Transformer coupling output results in a low output impedance making for better integration with any type of amplifier. Note that ALL inputs and outputs are transformer coupled included all single ended connections. Highest quality acrylic encapsulated Clarity Cap MR capacitors. Attenuation is handled by a balanced autoformer design with Bybee purifiers at the input. Extraordinary transparency of perceived sound which in turn assures the recreation of a three dimensional soundstage.
Extensive research, testing and listening led us to a unique, innovative design that achieves very low distortion and wide bandwidth without the need for negative feedback which destroys transient purity.
Another unique feature of the Statement is fully transformer coupled, balanced passive mode. The Statement’s passive mode provides greater detail, resolution and transparency than any other passive device on the market and it still routes the signal through the input and output transformers, and of course the wonderful sounding Autoformers.
The full function remote handles volume, mute, balance, source select and phase as well as being able to completely turn off the display. A very precise autoformer attenuation provide 1dB increments. All remote features can be used both in active and passive mode.
To help greatly reduce airborne vibrations from having a negative effect on the vacuum tubes and ruining your listening experience, both chassis of the Statement are equipped with Herbie’s Audio Labs Tenderfeet.
All Purity Products can be configured to run with the following mains voltages: 110V- 117V or 220V-240V. Primary voltages are factory wired so let your dealer know what voltage arrangement you need at time of ordering.
As with all Purity Series products, the remote circuit has been granted a dedicated power supply including a separate, standalone power transformer as not to interfere at all with the analog circuit.
The 2014 model brings to the table not only a newly design aluminum chassis but also several enhancements to the circuit including new custom made balanced input transformers, highly regulated DC filament supplies (one per channel), new grounding scheme and a new layout design among other enhancements.
New: The Reference and Statement Series models are now equipped with a Preamp/Headphone switch which will allow you to drive our forthcoming external headphone amp module.
New: The Reference and Statement Series models are now equipped with Home Theater Bypass as a standard feature.
Ultra Package: In the Ultra model, you will see a pair of large value Duelund Cast Copper Foil capacitors used at the output stage. Bybee Purifiers are found in 6 locations of the signal path.
Ultra GT: The Duelund output capacitors now incorporate .50uF of silver foil as a built in bypass. The 6 Bybee Purifiers found in the signal path are now Silver Bybee units.
