At the top of high-end audio equipment, every aspect of the design, materials, construction, makes a difference. Every little thing has an observable influence on the sonic result. Like all Redpoint turntables, the base, platter carrier, motor and arm pods are machined from billet aircraft aluminum. But there is nothing little about the Model XX. The XX pushes all the parameters and principles of Redpoint Audio Design to the limit. The added size and mass of this turntable provides dramatically more damping than the Model D or Model MG.
