This is an Rockport Technologies ATRIA II loudspeaker crossover being potted. Every Rockport crossover is built by hand and point-to-point wired. This gives us the flexibility to optimize each crossover for the particular drivers in the speakers we are building. All drivers vary slightly from one another, particularly at their lower and upper frequency limits where the crossovers are working to blend them together. By building our crossovers from scratch, as opposed to using a PCB board that is pre-populated to specific values that cannot be changed, we are able to compensate for the micro variations inherent in even closely.
