SONUS FABER AMATOR

Do you ever wonder where the word “Amator” of the Sonus faber Heritage family comes from? Historically, the suffix “Amator” (in Latin means “beloved”) was used for the “improved” version of a specific model, more powerful and featuring more prestigious components. Aesthetically, the “Amator” model was immediately recognizable because of the shaped front panel of the cabinet.

Indeed the cabinet was identical in size to the previous model but it was literally shaped to host a mid-woofer of superior performance and dimensions.

Let us recall Minima and Minima Amator (1984-1992), Electa and Electa Amator (1986-1987), etc. Today Sonus faber Heritage family maintains this original solution paying homage to the finest Italian woodworking and to the history of the brand.
