Steinway & Sons Heliconia Piano Launch Event

International journalists, PR agencies, as well as Lalique and Steinway & Sons representatives gather at the Steinway factory in Hamburg to enjoy an elegant dinner followed by the revealing of the Steinway Heliconia piano designed by Lalique with a performance by Steinway Artist Olga Scheps.
Timeless and beautiful – the new Special Collection from Steinway & Sons is the result of an extraordinary and creative collaboration between two renowned manufactures which have both dedicated themselves to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship: Steinway & Sons and the distinguished French glass-maker Lalique.
Originally designed in 1992 by Marie-Claude Lalique – the granddaughter of René Lalique – the heliconia flower forms the perfect decor for these fine instruments. Lovingly crafted at the Lalique manufactory in Alsace, 75 crystals make the instrument shine, while silver-colored inlays are decoratively arranged into the design, creating interesting reflections as well as a sense of clarity.
Each grand piano is fitted with a special plaque on the inside of the housing, which can be personalized if desired. Available in black or white, this grand piano exudes beauty and elegance, enriching your home not only musically, but also aesthetically.
