If we are being entirely honest, we spent a thoroughly unreasonable amount of time chasing down this exact 3D rendering technique just so we could make this specific visual point. Though, in our defence, that little bout of digital obsession still pales in comparison to the months we spent refining the precise, millimetre-perfect positioning of the drive units and the fiendishly complex folding of the internal transmission line.
The point is this: when you finally manage to eliminate distortion and master phase coherence across the entire frequency range, you don’t just hear a recording—you experience its full, uncompressed, beautifully colourful spectrum.
The Criterion simply, and rather politely, steps entirely out of the way so the music can get on with the show.”
