Following the release of T + A first Music Player in 2007, the landscape of music consumption didn’t just evolve; it inverted. Streaming transitioned from a convenient novelty into the ultimate high-fidelity delivery mechanism. The paradigm shifted completely: the absolute highest quality music was no longer found on a physical disc. It lived in the cloud. Listeners no longer wanted mere access; they demanded absolute integration and uncompromised acoustic purity.
This changing tide demanded a machine that didn’t just read data, but mastered the laws of physics. If our 2007 Music Player was the pioneering first car, the SDV 3100 HV—introduced in 2018—was the Formula 1 supercar of digital audio.
T + A didn’t just accommodate high-resolution streaming; we pushed the boundaries of what was computationally and acoustically possible, creating the first player in the world capable of rendering breathtaking DSD 1024 resolution.
Processing millions of bits per second while fighting electrical interference required philosophy of radical isolation. The entirely independent conversion paths were build, including a dedicated true 1-bit DSD converter completely separate from the PCM architecture.
T + A build machines to honour the way you choose to listen, eliminating the barrier between you and the artist.
It is the hair standing up on your arms. It is a private performance in your living room. It is Theory, perfectly Applied.
