“When our creative team was searching for a visual aesthetic to match the power of the new Criterion, the answer felt incredibly natural. We decided to honour its heritage by diving into the visual language of the era it came from: the iconic films of the 80s and 90s. We asked, “What if this speaker was a centrepiece in a classic 90s action film?”
This allowed us to create a visual for a speaker that is completely modern in its style and technology yet pays a respectful and creative homage to its own birth decade.
It’s a tribute to a legacy born in the 80s and 90s, inspired by the cinematic dreams of those decades, but built with the uncompromising technology of today.”
