THE ADVANCED FEATURES OF REFERENCE 3A SPEAKERS

Few interesting technical features of the Reference 3A speakers…

HYPER-EXPONENTIAL DRIVER

Our hand built drivers use an extremely light and strong carbon fibre cone with a proprietary hyper-exponential shape to seamlessly couple the motor to the cone and avoid break up modes. This driver allows direct connection to the amplifier without a crossover, thus removing components from the signal path and allowing the musical signal to arrive uninterrupted and intact.

SURREAL ACOUSTIC LENS

The patented Surreal Acoustic Lens is used to prevent formation of air vortex’s generated by condensed air particles and turbulence in the deep center of loudspeaker driver cones. Inherent noise caused by this vortex is drastically reduced and is effectively diffused by the lens.

CRYOGENIC TREATMENT

All connectors, internal wiring, and metal driver parts are now treated with a -320F deep level cryogenic process. The accumulative affect of this cryo treatment brings a further refinement and transparency to sound reproduction.

BERYLLIUM TWEETER

Not all beryllium tweeters are the same and they behave differently depending on their manufacturing process. Our Truextent© beryllium dome designs use a dome formed from extremely thin sheet material (typically 25µm to 50µm thick) for superior performance.

NEXTEL CABINET COATING

Our cabinets are now coated with the patented material known as Nextel©. It’s a matte textured coating that absorbs light and sound. It reduces cabinet diffraction effects and absorbs surface vibrations for a more silent cabinet.

OCC INTERNAL WIRING

All internal wiring is cryogenically treated, Teflon insulated, high purity OCC conductors to ensure perfect signal transmission. The appropriate thickness of wire is used for each driver, such as 0.6 mm for tweeter, 0.8 mm for mid range and 1.2 mm for bass driver.

SOFT BRASS SCREWS AND AVM VIBRATION FLUID

Driver frames are fastened with softer metal brass screws to avoid resonance noise potentially generated by similarly hard metals. AVM vibration control fluid is used to coat voice coils and critical areas of the cone to reduce resonance induced noises.
