Mobile Fidelity Sound finally brings THE CHICAGO TRANSIT AUTHORITY on Hybrid SACD. Here are few of the answers from Rob LoVerde specifically about this product:
1) We are releasing this on Hybrid SACD only. 2) Stereo only. 3) There will be an e-mail newsletter from Music Direct very soon announcing shipment. 4) No idea when other vendors will receive their orders. I suggest, for earliest delivery, ordering from Music Direct. I’d also like to make a strong suggestion for our LP-only customers: Like all of our products, this is a very carefully executed release. It may not be in your preferred format, but I think you will enjoy this, even if you “only” listen to the CD layer of the disc. Playbacks of a reference disc that I brought to CES got wonderful responses, with a lot of “vinyl only” customers pre-ordering this digital disc on the spot. I have no idea how long this will be in print, but now’s the time. Before it’s on Ebay for a lot more than 30 dollars. I’m not a salesman – I’m just very excited about this release and I don’t want fans of this album to miss it. Vinyl is not available to us for licensing on this particular title. We would have licensed it for vinyl if we could have.
