Claude Nobs’s chalet is a place of a dreams, that will leave no hearth untouched. Time really stops in Claude’s universe, that intimately encapsulates decades of Montreux Jazz Festival momentum.
There are not only countless gifts from legendary artists, 30.000+ vinyl collection etc, but most importantly, chalet holds priceless audio and video archive with the recordings from the Montreux Jazz Festival.
Nagra Audio and Claude Nobs worked closely over the years and hew always owned few of the Nagra’s systems. You can spot some of them in the photos.
This place leaves a lingering effect on you, but most importantly there is one “mantra”, that kept going through my mind…. “Its all about the music, its all about the music.”
This is something we should never forget in our beloved high-end audio industry!
