THE MYSTERIOUS STRAVINSKY – CHANT FUNÈBRE MANUSCRIPT REDISCOVERY

The story behind Stravinsky’s lost work, ‘Chant funèbre’ (Funeral Song) manuscript, that was lost for 106 years and performed only one time in 1909. It was discovered between the dusty archives of the St. Petersburg Conservatoire.

Decca Classics is bringing on the 12 January 2018 a stunning recording by Riccardo Chailly and Lucerne Festival Orchestra, alongside other early Stravinsky works and his masterpiece, ‘Le sacre du printemps’ (The Rite of Spring).
