Now, that is quite a mighty trinity of Audio Union Döhmann Helix 2 turntable, S.A.T tonearm and Lyra Etna SL cartridge. Cliff Orman fine tuned this turntable system with a dedicated CNC milled Krion armboard (Helix 1 and 2 were designed modularly to allow armboard materials and designers to offer tuned versions). This is constrained layer damped with internal elastomers and held in place using PEEK screws. The S.A.T’s collar is also fixed with PEEK screws and the cartridge also has PEEK screws. Cliff reports quite a performance boost.
Its something it would surely be interesting to explore with my own Döhmann Helix 1 turntable…
