TIDAL Audio announces the official launch of the $350,000 USD TIDAL x BUGATTI MA1, its new reference monobloc power amplifier and the successor to the renowned TIDAL Assoluta Monobloc.
The MA1 represents the most advanced power amplifier TIDAL has created to date. Its true monaural architecture and sophisticated actively regulated linear power supply provide an extraordinary foundation of stability and precision, allowing it to drive virtually any loudspeaker with effortless authority. At its heart are three magnetically shielded and mechanically decoupled 1,000 VA transformers combined with 800,000 µF of stabilization capacity. The MA1 delivers 420 watts continuously into 8 ohms, 840 watts into 4 ohms and 1,500 watts into 2 ohms.
Every aspect of the MA1 is dedicated to preserving the finest musical information, dynamics and spatial integrity without imposing a character of its own. Its fully DC-coupled input circuit contains neither coupling capacitors nor a relay in the signal path from input to output. TIDAL’s proprietary APM protection system operates completely outside the signal path.
The engineering is matched by the craftsmanship and individuality that define the TIDAL x BUGATTI collection. Colors and finishes can be individually tailored in close collaboration with the owner, making every pair of MA1 amplifiers a genuinely bespoke creation. The floating Bugatti logo on the top plate an analogy for what to expect from this amplifier – translating the halo associated with Bugatti into the world of high-end audio, built upon everything TIDAL has achieved over more than two and a half decades.
Measuring 69 × 52 × 41 cm and weighing 110 kg each, the MA1 embodies TIDAL’s approach to reference amplification: immense reserves without force, control without restriction and precision without losing the natural flow of music.
