Totaldac, one of my favorite digital front end manufacturers just updated their product line. All new Totaldac d1 integral – headphone is a 21st century digital hub combining DAC, preamplifier, headphone amplifier and a music server (now RoonReady) in one chassis.
Dedicated optimized headphone output can even easily drive directly high efficient system (on the photo above) without using any external amplifier where several persons can listen at once.! These are Vincent Brien’s (Totaldac owner) 104dB efficiency speakers using a Voxativ driver.
