Wadax, the luxury audio brand dedicated to innovation and the pursuit of the most realistic musical playback from digital sources, announces the new Studio DAC Collection, which will be presented at HIGH END Vienna 2026, taking place June 4-7 at the Austria Center Vienna. Visitors are invited to experience the new collection in Room -2.82.
The Studio DAC Collection extends the concept introduced with the Studio Player Collection by separating the Studio Player architecture into two dedicated components: the Studio DAC and the Studio Transport. This new modular approach gives listeners a higher-performance path within the Studio ecosystem, while maintaining compatibility with existing Studio Collection products including the Studio Clock, Studio PSU, and Akasa DC cables.
At the heart of the new collection is the Studio DAC, a next-generation digital-to-analog converter that inherits core streaming functionality from the Studio Player while introducing new technologies designed for greater resolution, musicality, and system flexibility. Its new DAC mono modules features RAXA™ technology, an evolved DAC topology developed to deliver lower noise, greater speed, improved harmonic rendering, and a wider, and even more immersive soundstage. All these improvements align to deliver a unique musical and emotional rendering from digital audio content.
For the first time, Wadax also brings its unique musIC process into the headphone ecosystem. The Studio DAC includes a new headphone output stage designed to drive any headphone on the market, with both standard jack and true balanced 4-pin XLR outputs.
The Studio DAC offers a wide range of digital connectivity, including AES, BNC, RCA, and Toslink inputs, alongside modern streaming support for Qobuz Connect, TIDAL Connect, Spotify Connect, Roon Ready, UPnP, Au-dirvana, JPLAY, and Apple’s AirPlay*. It also includes an Akasa Optical connection for the new Studio Transport and future Studio applications.
The new Studio Transport is designed as a dedicated CD/SACD transport, it benefits from trickle-down technology from the Wadax Reference Transport and includes the Akasa Optical link for connection to the Studio DAC.
Its optical pickup mechanism, THORstudio with DWC technology, has been engineered to bring Wadax’s digital disc-reading expertise into the Studio Collection.
“With the Studio DAC Collection, we are expanding the Studio concept into a more flexible and scalable archi-tecture, “said Javier Guadalajara, Founder and CEO of Wadax. “By separating the DAC and transport into dedicated products and adding our latest know-how and technologies, we give music lovers a new way to experience digital playback with greater precision, realism, and emotional connection. This collection reflects our belief that digital technology, when pursued without compromise, can bring us closer to the essence of music.”
The Studio DAC Collection has been designed as a scalable ecosystem, offering ten performance levels, from Level I to Level X. This allows owners to build and upgrade their system progressively with the Studio DAC, Studio Transport, Studio Clock, Studio PSU, and Akasa DC cable solutions.
Pricing: Studio DAC $42,950, Studio Transport $39,500. Prices excludes local sales taxes and duties.
An official presentation of the Studio DAC Collection will be done on Friday June 5th, 11.30AM at -2.82.
