The front face machining takes six hours in a top-of-the range DMG Mori mill to produce two Carmel 3 faces, manufactured from aerospace aluminum alloy to a precision of 1μm (0.00004”) in three dimensions.
These photos also show the ultra-precise grooves of the Stellar waveguide used throughout Reference 3. Optimized through extensive simulation, these break up the reflections from the waveguide surface, further improving imaging and realism.
These catch the light, especially in a silver finish, looking like rays emanating from the tweeter center. Hence the name “Stellar”.
