YG Acoustics just announced Vesper, an entirely new three-way loudspeaker joining the Reference range directly above the Carmel.
Vesper is the answer to a question YG Acoustics’ customers have asked for years. Listeners around the world have loved the Carmel for one thing above all: reference performance in a compact, beautiful form that lives gracefully in real rooms. Many asked for just one thing more—the additional dynamic scale and bass depth that only a three-way design provides. Vesper delivers exactly that, in the same elegant, compact spirit.
The new loudspeaker is the end result of a three-year development program, underpinned by extensive research and simulation. Each Vesper combines YG’s hybrid Lattice tweeter with 18 cm (7.25″) midrange and 22 cm (8.75″) bass drivers, both featuring advanced motor designs and YG’s proprietary aluminum cones. Linking them is a third-generation Ultracoherent crossover, built with proprietary YG components and benefitting from the new understandings gained in the company’s Titan research program.
“The science showed us what was possible; the listening told us it was real,” said Dr Matthew Webster, CEO and chief designer of YG Acoustics. “For three years we have worked toward a loudspeaker with the Carmel’s poise and elegance, but with the authority of a true three-way. Music unfolds with genuine weight and effortless dynamics, and the finest details survive intact within the largest climaxes. The scale of sound seems to belong to a far larger loudspeaker. We cannot wait for people to hear it.”
Like every YG loudspeaker, Vesper 3 is meticulously machined in-house by YG and hand-built at the company’s manufacturing facilities in Denver and Cambridge. It is engineered from aerospace-grade aluminum throughout, with research and development conducted at YG’s laboratories in Cambridge, England. Every design decision was verified the same way: through measurement, modeling and, above all, listening.
Vesper will be available through YG Acoustics’ authorized dealer network from October 2026.
