NEW ABENDROT EVEREST 901 ULTIMATE ADC

Usually we’re all excited about new ultimate DACs, but I know that some of you are also interested in ADC for various reasons (analog archival, etc). The Abendrot new Ultimate A/D conversion IS achieved through proprietary “True A to D Conversion Technology”. A newly developed internal clock that inherits the craftsmanship of the “True Audio Master Clock”. Everest 901 allows an adjustable 3-step input gain configuration, offers propitiatory dual channel word clock with high precision and10Mhz input terminal to receive the reference output from the Everest 701.

INTRODUCTION
The Abendrot Everest 901 – True A to D Converter is a cutting-edge stereo A/D converter developed with the aim of achieving analogue master recording quality in digital recording. The development of this new A/D concept was an inevitable step for us in our continuous pursuit in supplying audio logic that would remain as the foundation for leading studios.
Ever since the announcement of the Everest 701 – True Audio Master Clock in 2016, Abendrot has been providing digital audio equipment essentials capable of providing new standards of absolute time. The realisation of analogue-level precision only dreamed of in the past through this special master clock broke multiple digital boundaries, and became loved by many leading professionals around the world; and as a result, has provided the ultimate excitement to countless music listeners with its end product. The Abendrot Everest 901 – True A to D Converter is a new fundamental product that not only further unlocks the potential of the Everest 701 – True Audio Master Clock, but also provides unique qualities of its own to further strengthen your audio setup.
“Time” and “Dynamics” are the two exclusive elements that make up the fundamental aspects of audio. The Everest 901 – True A to D Converter is Abendrot’s dynamics solution in achieving absolute time for digital audio equipment, and truly elevates this concept to perfection when combined with the Everest 701 – True Audio Master Clock. The Everest 901 – True A to D Converter truly captures the transience and dynamics of a live performance, capturing the unique depth of analogue signals and thus entering a new frontier for digital audio. The result is an unprecedented digital output of 3-dimensional and organic sound.
OVERVIEW
True A to D Conversion Technology
Proprietary A/D conversion technology developed for the Everest 901, that combines the technology of Abendrot’s True Audio Master Clock with advanced A/D conversion technology to achieve the faithful conversion of analogue signal transience and dynamics. The technology was developed with the aim of realising the digital conversion of that unique depth found in analogue sound.
True Audio Master Clock Technology
Equipped with a newly developed internal clock with a highly accurate built-in quartz, that inherits the True Audio Master Clock Technology of the Everest 701. With master clock quality on par with the Everest 701, the Everest 901 also adds excellent versatility to its repertoire. The Everest 901’s internal clock can be operated as a standalone device, capable of both the A/D conversion of your digital system’s stereo master channel while also acting as the clock’s master.
EXT – INT switch
A built-in EXT-INT switch to switch between the Everest 901’s internal clock and external clock from the Everest 701. This switch upgrades quality by switching the system’s input to an external 10Mhz input transmitted through the Everest 701’s master clock. The Everest 901/701 combination is ideal for digitizing important stereo master sound and historical audio archives.
Variable Gain
The A/D conversion input level can be switched between 3 settings in accordance with your studio’s reference level. The default input level setting is 16dBFS, 18dBFS, and 20dBFS, but this can be optionally changed to -16dBu, -18dBu, -20dBU at the time of making your order.
Word Clock Distributer
Equipped with 2-channel word clock output, this distributor can convert word clock signal output at an arbitrary sampling rate without any deterioration in generator transparency. It connects to a digital recorder through 2 channels; an AES/EBU channel that sends the audio signal, and a BNC channel used for word clock synchronisation.
