NEW TOTALDAC D150 ANNIVERSARY SPEAKERS

For its 10 year anniversary in 2020, Totaldac will release a new speaker; the d150-anniversary. Vincent Brient’ initial goals were to create a high efficient, two-way horn loudspeakers without a need for a dedicated subwoofer (also for the bass) and no crossover from 150Hz to 20KHz, thus making the speaker that act as closely as possibly to a point source concept. 

Preliminary specifications:

-sensitivity: 97dB.
-in room response: 28Hz-20KHz.
-impedance: 8ohm.
-860mm diameter wooden horn made of 100m thick wood.
-15inch bass driver.
-recommended placement: close to the rear wall
-dimensions: 1.42m heigh, 0.86m diameter round horn, 0.59m depth.
-weight under 60kg for each of the two parts.
First demo in Paris hifi show the 7th and 8th December 2019. Above is the photo of the first prototype, currently under test in Totaldac headquarter in France, driven by the Totaldac Amp-1 amplifier.
