OMA writes: “We have set up the RCA MI9462 “Ubangi” system that we pulled out of a 1941 Art Deco theater in rural Ohio some weeks back. We are listening to it at our factory in Fleetwood, and it sounds just jaw dropping amazing! The Ubangi was one of the largest theater horn systems ever made, and certainly one of the best engineered and sounding. RCA invented the radial horn used in both the bass and high frequency sections. OMA founder Jonathan Weiss, who got his start in pulling old speakers out of cinemas and studios says: “I have profound respect verging on awe for the RCA engineers who created this system.””
“It is equipment like this that gave OMA its DNA.”
