With Teac Reference 7 CD, iconic Japanese brand is trying to blend CD/network player, DAC and power amplifier in one box with a design that resembles both past and present.
Reference 7 can converts/up-sample signal up to to the DSD 11.2 MHz format and up-sample PCM digital signal to 2 times, 4 times, 8 times (384 kHz) by the proprietary design FPGA by using the fluency algorithm that smoothly complements the digital audio signal.
Power amplifier duties are handed to one 50 ASX 2 ICEpower per channel and digital conversion happens through AK4490 dual mono DAC’s.
Reference 7 supports both Tidal and Qobuz streaming audio.
