Telos Audio Design Macro Q USB Noise Reducer

MACRO Q USB is Telos Audio Design’s latest tweak/accessory that actively deals with the minimisation of  noise. It acts like the bigger QNR (bigger brother). “Although USB protocol is convenient, it is not designed specifically for audio transmission.”

“It often carries high-frequency noise from the computer’s switched-mode power supply, which leads to the inability to achieve the best and bit perfect data transmission. It also interferes with the analog signal after the DAC and can seriously affect the sound performance of the USB DAC. In order to solve this problem, the Telos team spent three years developing a Macro Q-USB-specific quantum noise reducer with two special ICs that are instantly detecting USB transmission behaviour and compensate/smooths out the signal.”

“The main function of Macro Q is an active detection of the USB noise, that is followed by sending out the inverted compensation correction signal, so that irregular noise is synchronously offset, thus providing a relatively stable USB transmission channel.

The reverse calibration signal from Macro Q is very accurate and consistent with the dynamic noise of the transmission path.
Macro Q is very easy to use. You just plug it into the idle USB input and the Macro Q starts functioning.”
The result is less “grainy” and more natural sound.
