The forgotten cellist Jean Max-Clement

The forgotten cellist Jean Max-Clement… Originally recorded by first time in July 5-6, 1958 by Decca-L’Oiseau-Lyre, and pressed on OL 50186-87 Yellow with Brown letters mono label, for UK market, and at same time, on L’Oiseau-Lyre-London SOL 60016-17 very first Green Deep Grooved Mono Label, (using Decca’s old 78rpm stampers), for the American market.

This is the record 1 of its Stereo version on L’Oiseau-Lyre OLS 133-34, in its most valued edition for the collectible market, however, the L’Oiseau-Lyre SOL 60016-17, ‘Deep Grooved’ (for American market) is the most perfect heavy and flat pressing, in my opinion. – Saulo Zucchello
